The Athletics events of the 2009 Gymnasiade are planned to take place in the Khalifa Stadium.

Khalifa Stadium is one of three competition venues within Aspire Zone precinct and, with 50,000 seats, will be the largest capacity venue for the 2009 Gymnasiade.

The venue is located at the heart of Aspire Zone precinct and will be surrounded by the spectator areas during the Gymnasiade.
