The 2009 Doha Gymnasiade Organising Committee is a joint venture between the Ministry of Education, the Qatar Olympic Committee and the Aspire Zone.

The Organising Committee coordinates affairs in direct consultation with the International School Sport Federation.

President

The President of the Gymnasiade Board of Directors is His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, Heir Apparent, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and IOC Member.

Director General

The appointed Director General of the Organising Committee is Khaleel Ibrahim Al-Jabir, Head of the Physical Education Department in the Ministry of Education and Director of the Sports Department in the Qatar Olympic Committee.

The appointed Committee Members are:

• Rabia Mohamed Al-Kaabi – Chairman of the Committee.
• Brigadier General Dahlan Jamaan Al-Hamad – Vice-Chairman of the Committee - President of the Qatar Athletics Federation and Vice-President of the Inetrnational Athletics Federation.
• Abdulrahman Al-Sharty – Board Member - President of the Qatar and Asian Gymnastic Federation
• Khaleel Ibrahim Al-Jabir – Director General – Secretary General of the Qatar Swimming Association
• Ali Yousef Al-Jabir – Board Member
• Jacqueline Herbrand – Board Member - Technical Expert of the Qatar Gymnastic Federation
• Mohammed Al-Subay - Board Member
